CG3000DCR reboots each time i connect Openvpn

Hi,

my setup:

CG3000DCR --> RT-AC66U --> Devices

Whenever i enable OpenVPN on a device, CG3000DCR drops internet and reboots. Tried putting the OpenVPN straight on the RT-AC66U but it did the same thing. I found this post that has the exact problem im having:

so fixed this after 0.0% help from comcast support.

anyway put your comcast modem in passthorugh (not dhcp mode)

also my openvpn had to use TCP instead of UDP, when i use UDP modem restarts (called support about that: "does it work when vpn is off? in that case the issue isnt with comcast, goodbye! click")

Hi ZaiLH. Constant reboots of the gateway indicates a problem with the equipment. The Business Service Center@ 1-800-391-3000 can schedule a tech call to diagnose the equipment and replace the gateway if necessary.
