CG3000DCR Bridging Questions
I do not have a static IP and I want to use the CG3000DCR as my modem only and use my Cisco RV325 as my router. Does the CG3000DCR need to be placed in " true bridged" mode by Comcast or can I get this to work by deselecting the DHCP function in the modem menu?

Nah, disabling the DHCP server won't turn it into bridge mode. You will have to have Comcast do it from their end. Although, I think some have said that if you press the "Reset" button on the back of the modem, it will revert to bridge mode. No guarantees on that.

Thank you for the reply. I called Comcast support and had a great representative named John take care of my request to place the CG3000 in to true bridge mode. He first verified that I was not using static IPs and then switched the modem to bridged. He stayed on the phone with me while I verified that the IPv4 address changed to a "public" IP after the reboot. We're good to go now with the RV325 doing the routing and auto failover on WAN2 to a backup ISP.
