Bridge mode?

I have had terrible internet service since my modem was upgraded 6 months ago.  Any device connected to the Comcast modem via the built in WiFi or 2 different stand alone routers (Netgear and Google Mesh) is routinely dropped sometimes as often as every 15 minutes.  Comcast put in new cable from the street for the upgrade and I am now on my 3rd modem.  Each time the modem is replaced or factory reset it works perfectly for 2-3 days then the drops happen.  I have a computer hardwired to the modem and it never seems to drop.  I have tried changing the ethernet cables and unplugging various devices without improvement.  Do you think trying the modem in bridge mode might help?  Should I purchase my own modem?  For the record I have Comcast Business class and they increased my speed from 75 to 150 mbs during this process with no improvement.

I'm so sorry to hear that! It sounds like you've done quite a bit of troubleshooting on your own, which I really appreciate you letting us know. I can't speak to the Google Mesh system but I do know that with our residential xFi Pods, bridge mode would not be able to be utilized since the Pods are using WiFi and bridge mode basically turns off WiFi (please note that that is a VERY simplified explanation but the latter link gives an awesome overview of both bridge and pass-through mode). I'd be glad to check on the account and see what I can find, we want to ensure that your issue is resolved! If you'd like, please click on my handle (Comcast_Gina) and send a private message with your name, the business name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number, and any other pertinent details (is it random? Or is there anything you've noticed precedes the drops? et cetera) so we can help!
