Birds nesting in comcast equipment on wire

I'm seeing birds going in and out of the comcast cable distribution box (I don't know the proper name for the equipment) out on the distribution wires on near the pole where the line to my house is attached. This doesn't seem good, wondering if a tech should check it out.

I do have a business account. I'm not sure if it's affecting it or not, though I do have to reboot my modem every day or so when I start seeing high ping times / lost packets associated with this log message on the modem:
Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out

  • - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list
  • - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
