Accessing a wireless printer connected to Comcast router from a PC directly connected to a Connection Pro Cradlepoint device

We just had Comcast high speed service with Connection Pro backup installed in our business location. Techs did not correctly setup the Connection Pro, nor did they seem to understand the proper connections. Subsequent calls to phone support also gave contradictory connection instructions. Finally, seemed to have gotten the correct connections….. Cradlepoint device connected to Comcast router/modem, and individual PC,s and Credit Card machines connected to the 4 lan ports on the Cradlepoint device. Now, need to connect wireless printer to Comcast router via Wi-Fi….. How can the devices directly connected to Cradlepoint device access the printer that is connected to the router, since I guess that they are on different gateways or subnets? Please advise!

user_41cf73 Hi there! I recommend gettinga WIFI AP then put it between the cradlepoint and switch, then connect everything to that including the printer.

Hello, my understanding is that anything before the Cradlepoint will not failover in case of an outage. Since the printer needs to connect via Wi-Fi to the Comcast router, and the pertinent devices need to connect to the Cradlepoint device, which has no Wi-Fi, I need to know how the Cradlepoint devices can recognize the Wi-Fi printer, which I assume will be on a different subnet or gateway.

I am not sure how to answer this but here is an article on our Comcast Business page that may help. Connection Pro Overview

Is there any Comcast techie that can answer this for me? I have read that and any other Comcast documents that I can find. This has become very frustrating! This can’t be a unique situation with using this product. You are selling a service that sounds great, yet phone support, installation techs and others don’t seem to have answers or training for that service. It was not installed properly (2 installation visits) from the start, yet I’ve been paying for it from day 1. I have 4 POS devices plugged into my Cradlepoint device via lan ports , ready for a failover event, yet these devices cannot connect to my wireless printer connected to the Comcast modem/router, which is the only device with Wi-Fi capability. Sorry for the rant, but can someone please help.
