I'm just curious why I can't manage my own PTR records like I can A, CNAME, etc?
John can I request a change through you?
Thanks!
Todd

Hello Banjo,
Welcome to the forum and thank you for that detail message.
PTR/RDNS has been setup as per request, but please allow 12 hrs for DNS entry propagation.Thank you
Because the IP address is technically owned by Comcast, so they control it. That was what I was told. And yes, Comcast_John or a well-trained CSR can change it for you.
Hello Todd_D,
Train_Wreck is correct on his reply to you.
If you want a RDNS/PTR setup please send me the following information via private message.
Your Full name
Your Account number
RDNS/PTR entry information - (EX: xx.xx.xx.125 --> mail.mydomain.com)
Thank you
