Two Wifi routers on a Comcast Modem -- How to best configure?

I have Comcast business class and I'm connecting to wifi routers to the cable modem. I have the airport time capsule hooked up directly to the modem and an edgewater 250 connected to the LAN off of that. I have 10 wifi phones running off of the edgewater & computers only on the time capsule. Should I bridge the modem or assign a static ip to the edgewater? What will incease my speeds and route traffic better? The Edgewater can only work on one channel. Right now both routers are DHCP.

Welcome rdupont.  You can assign your static IP directly to your Edgewater and leave the second router in DHCP mode.  While Comcast does not directly support VOIP service applications thru the internet gateway, utilizing the static IP on the VOIP router will segment the traffic.

Also on the Comcast network Static IP addresses cannot be utilized with bridged devices.

Thank you
