transfering domain

Transferring  a domain from yahoo and am completely confused .

On Friday I  made the changes to the DNS settings at yahoo and set up the

transfer.  Later I looked under "Manage domains" and saw two domains of the same name.

One said "active" the other "processing".

I thought I had made an error and wanted to cancel one of the domains. Only one could be canceled (the active one).

I canceled it and waited for the other to finish processing for two days.

Today I read that you can't Manage domains under " Manage domains" but have to go to "edit website".

I looked there and found "domain transfers" I clicked that and get this message.

"You do not have any pending or failed domain transfers"

If I have nothing pending then what processing?. I know I somehow made an error in the beginning

but cant fix it or start over.

I have called and got good response but had a hard time explaining the problem and finally made

an appointment with an upper level of support but thought I would post here as well.

Hello Zane,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing this issue with the community.

Based on your post, it sounds like a "conflict" has occurred on the domain activation.

It was very prudent of you contact our tech support, and they will be able to clear this and assist.

One item I do suggest is not to make any edits or update on your Myaccount until this issue has been corrected.

Thank you and please share with us of any update.

I have been trying to transfer my domain name for 28 days now.  Every time I talk to someone in Customer Service they cannot help me and say they will work on it and call me back.  I have about 6 or 7 reps who have not returned a call.  Comcast needs to train their reps better and teach them that since they are a communication company, communiicating with the customer is important.

I call again and was told that Yhaoo had not released control of the site. I think I know what has happened.

As I said before I some how had two sites of the same name that showed uo under "manage domain" I removed one.

well when I set this up Comcast sent me a source and a destination. That was for the one i removed .

this second the one that has been processing for a week now I never gave a source or destination to release the site too

because i never got one to use. so yahoo has nothing to release to site too.

Well now over a week and still unable to get my domain working with comcastst this is after 5 phone calls.

I spoke to some one in tear 2 yesterday and was told I would get a phone call by the end of the day but never got a call.

At this point Im having trouble thinking I could recommend comcast as a domain provider for small businesses.

May bigger businesses get better service. I love comcasts fast internet but this is the worse IT service I have ever delt with.

The people are wounderful to work with but its like every thing i say goes into a black hole.

Here are a couple images from my comcast page. you can see that on one hand it tels me my domane transfer is in process but on another page it it tells me there is nothing in process.

What do do i need to do to resolve this issue, It costs time and money to me
