Reverse DNS Delegation (PTR)

I've tried calling into customer support--they seem to have no concept of a delegation. They asked for my mail server address?  Later I find they created a PTR record for an IP I gave them, pointing to my mail server,...? There is clearlty a misunderstanding.

I simply want all reverse requests for my /29 to be forwarded to my two DNS servers.  It looks like there's another thread with the exact request coming from 'pflog' and being responded to by "Comcast_John".

I would like the same change to be made for my /29.  Is there anything I need to do other than get John to see this thread? 😄

Hello bmiller,

Welcome to the forum.

In order to proceed with the request our IP Engineers will need the following information:

1.Your full name

2. Account number

3. IP Scope

4. Server information (ex: ns.yourdomain.com)

Please send it to me via private message and I will contact the appropriate department.

Thank you

Just ran a few tests and I've confirmed my /29 has been delegated via RFC2317.

Looks good! Thank you!
