rdns/ptr

I had requested this via phone this morning and tech said it was done.  Followed up and it was mispelled.  Called back to have it corrected and tech on the phone told me to do this through the Support center on Account website.  A bit frustrated that I'm told incorrect/different information for creating/modifying two ptr records.  Seem to be spending more time than necessary for such an easy request.  I don't see a direct way to create/modify a ptr for my static ip's

How do I get the PTR records built at Comcast for the comcast leased ip's on my two accounts?  I have already built the 'A' records at my DNS host.

Thanks,

Brian

Hello bjshallenberger,

Welcome to the forum.

We are sorry to hear about the trial you faced to get this request done.

You are correct this is very straight forward process to get RDNS/PTR entry done. Customers just have to provide the DNS entry needed and static IP(s) and wait for the propagation once it is entered.

If you still need a RDNS/PTR entry, please send me the following via private message for assistance.

- Static IP range

- RDNS Entry

Example: 192.168.1.20 -> remote.mydomain.com.

Thank you
