No A Record MXToolbox - ISP Record Creation needed?
I have our Exchange server setup and configured. However, when I do a mxlookup I am receiving a {No A Record} message for the IP address.
I believe I need to have Comcast setup an A Record pointing to our gateway in order to finish this up. If I could get some clarification and help with this issue, that would be great.
Thanks!

with the domain we could troubleshoot but without it were blind. the response needed would be two pages long without knowing it.

Am I wrong in assuming this? Do I just need to add an additional A record. We have one A record for our website address. With the MX Record and an additional A record, will the website be accessible and will the mail route to the correct place?
Thank you!

Local DNS. Also, the Domain is hosted by GoDaddy and our website is actually hosted by another 3rd party vendor.

Do you run a local dns server? or are you fully relying on comcast managed network service.

Hello eagletn,
Good working with you to resolve this issue.
As we have discussed DNS entry has to be updated on the host/SOA.
