Network printer setup
Hi,
I'm trying to set up an HP laserjet on the comcast business LAN. The printer was setup for IP printing on my old network but has never been able to receive an IP on the new LAN. No link lights and the gateway doesn't show it as active. The cabling is fine as I tested that with my laptop and the printer is recognized on the old router when I bring that back up. I'm set to Comcast defaults.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi,
It appears this topic was moved from where I originally posted it, so I didn't notice your question. I've since reposted but have not found a solution.
My HP Color cp3525 seems to be incompatible with the new cisco dpc3939b gateway. It doesn't even grab a link light. I've tried DHCP and Static. I've confirmed this works with my old netgear router.
I've since connected it to my netgear and set a static IP to flow through the router to the 10.1.10.x network but my netgear router keeps interfering with the Cisco gateway. I'm going to try a simple netgear switch to see if I can create the same flowthough effect without the possible conflict the router causes.
If you know of anything on the Cisco Gateway that would cause an issue I'd love to eliminate the need to daisy chain an extra network device since I have more than enough ports for my small network already.
Thanks,
Matt
