Gateway replaced, static ip no longer is accessible from the internet

We have 5 static ip addresses, xx.xx.xxx.53 being one of them. This static IP address is mapped to a local address via NAT.

Until the gateway was replaced this worked. Now we cannot use the public IP address to VPN into our network. ping returns unreachable.

xx.xx.xxx.54 is the ip address for the gateway. Ping works fine to it.

Just got through a very frustrating day with first level "phone" support being hanged up on multiple times and at one point the gateway was killed and needed to be reset. The last support tech escalated and the support tickets show it being assigned to a queue.

Frustrating. How can I get this resolved?

Thanx

Good afternoon @user_1ab2b9. Our team can take a look at your tickets to see if we can get you an update. Please send us a direct message when you have a moment.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list
- A "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
