External static ip

We have an external static IP that we use for server access etc - but for the past 6 months or so it periodically changes from what is listed on our account 50.xxx.xx.xxx to 24.xxx.xx.xxx - and then after some number of days, changes back again to 50.xxx.xx.xxx

What would cause that?
