Dynamic DNS settings not working

So Im not a noob with routers and networks, and dns servers and the like.  Why does my router not accept the dynamic dns settings?  I enter the dat aand hit save it shows saved but when I leave the page and return it is not there.  I really wish comcast would stop screwing with their routers and just leave them alone.

 

Edit: I do not want to use Static IPs so thats why i need dynamic

Old ddns user here so had to chime in.

 

First post router type for giggles and besides that typically it this is a layer 3 router it has the ability to check your settings and only allow a change to take affect if it passes it's internal tests.

 

Honestly without the router model I can only use a magic ball to state that you have a setting which is under your control that will allow you to make the change you just need to find it.
