Domain transfer

My domain transfer "crosspointhattiesburg.org" to Comcast has been in a "pending verification" step 3 for almost 2 weeks. This has been push to the "national team" of engineers I've been told. The cname change has been verified in step 2. What is the hold up and why is this simple process taking so long
