Waht are these odd ball charges that show up at random?

First of all, I'm on one of the Business class fixed rate accounts for my business phone and fax. This months bill includes a $2.00 increase in my Equipment Fee. (Same old modem as before, guess it's a classic and increases with age.)

There are two charges that have shown up twice in tha last 6 months, "Per-call Taxes" and a "Domestic Calls" charge. Waht the heck are these charges? They don't amout to much, however, if Comcast does this to all their customers that would be a big chunk of change.

And to finish, the phoney "Universal Connectivity Charge" and the "Regulatory Recovery Fees" both went up on my bill. Why?

Comcast never provides an explaination of these fees/charges. I think they do it because they can. It all adds up over time.

I saw an explaination sent to a member called 'trainwreck', it was quoting things in the 'signed contract' Comcast issues. You know, the one you have to agree to become their hostage. Maybe I should have hired a lawyer to read it for me? Maybe I should have stayed with my old phone company? Oh well, I'd like to hear what others have to say.
