Transfer from Comcast Business to Xfinity residential

We need help from someone knowledgeable that is able to help transition from Comcast business to Xfinity residential. We have been told repeatedly that it is no problem; however, every time we contact Comcast business they refer us to Xfinity residential for the transfer. Xfinity residential then says their hands are tied until the business account is closed and the home is transferred to residential. I have read email threads that state that can take an additional 1 to 3 months. We’ve already been trying to get this accomplished for over a month. A supervisor on the residential side submitted a request for transfer about 2-weeks ago, but it still hasn’t processed. We’ve completed the discontinuation of services form, and have spoken to numerous representatives on both the business and residential sides. Although everyone concurs that it is possible, no one is able to help. I am not sure why this is so difficult, so need to speak with someone who is able to assist to ensure that we do not have a lapse in service.

@Comcast_Lysa​ I need a little more information on how to start the private peer to peer chat. Is it through the Comcast business site or via the forum. I didn’t see the options you described.

My apologies, if you are sending us a DM from our Xfinity Forums it would be Xfinity Support you would send a message to. However I see that you are contacting us from our Comcast Business Forums so you would want to follow the same directions, but send the DM to Comcast Business. I hope this helps.
