Subject: URGENT BUSINESS CRISIS: Vague Network Outage Notice / Conflicting CS Data

To Whom It May Concern at Comcast Business Executive Relations,
Ticket [Edited: Personal Information]
I am writing to formally escalate a critical operational risk created by Comcast Business. Today, August 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM, I received an automated text message stating:  "Hi, it's Comcast Business.  We will be working to enhance the network near your area within a week.  We could begin as early as 6am local time. During this time, you will experience service outages.  We anticipate completing our work within the day."
As a Comcast Business customer, a vague "one-week window" for up to a full-day outage is completely unacceptable.  Our office relies entirely on your internet connection for daily operations, including our staff computers and essential VOIP phone systems.  An unannounced or poorly scheduled outage will paralyze our business and cause severe financial damage.
When I responded to the text asking for specific dates and times, the system gave a conflicting automated reply stating, "No service interruptions are detected in your area."
Furthermore, I immediately contacted your commercial customer service team.  The representative informed me that front-line support has no record of any planned interruptions in my area.  While the representative scheduled a call for next Tuesday and escalated the ticket, this does not solve my immediate problem.  I am left with a looming business shutdown, zero specific scheduling details, and completely contradictory information from Comcast's own systems.
Front-line customer service was unable to provide a contact email for Executive Relations or connect me with the network engineering team responsible for this work.
I require immediate contact from a regional manager or executive relations representative who can provide:
  1. The exact calendar date and precise time window for the scheduled network work.
  2. Direct coordination with my business to ensure our VOIP phones and employee internet are not cut off during critical operating hours.
Please contact me immediately,
Sincerely,

Thank you for connecting with us here about your service interruption notice, @user_9c2555. I can see how this is cause for concern, and how it would interrupt your daily business. I can say your email will have the most accurate information since it's sent by your local tech team to the businesses that would be affected. I understand the first email provided a one-week window, but I would keep an eye out for any others.

We can certainly look into this for you and see if we may be able to get more information. For this, we would need for you to send us a Direct Message. We look forward to hearing from you.

1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.

2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.

3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.

4. In the "To:" line, type "Comcast Business".

5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Comcast Business" from that list.

6. An "Comcast Business" graphic will replace the "To:" line.

7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

8. Press Enter to send it.

Thanks for the reply.  I appreciate you looking into it, but I want to be clear that my core problem is still unsolved:  I have no date and no time for this outage.

You pointed me to the email from the local tech team as the most accurate source.  The trouble is that email is exactly what prompted my complaint — it gave a one-week window for what could be a full-day outage, with no specific date.  And when I replied to the text asking for specifics, Comcast's own automated system told me "no service interruptions are detected in your area."  So the two systems you're directing me to are contradicting each other.

I'll send a Direct Message as requested — though I'll be honest that being asked to re-enter everything privately, after it's already been read here and logged under my ticket, is part of the frustration.  No one has been able to give me a callback or a direct line to the team actually doing this work.

What I need is simple: the exact date and time window for the network work near my location, and a way to coordinate so our VOIP phones and staff internet aren't cut during business hours.  If your team can have the local network engineers confirm those specifics, that resolves this.
