Remove my Cable modem MAC from Business so I can activate my residential service

I am currently paying Comcast Business internet until Jan 8th 2021 then my account will be disabled.  I have residential service right now as well and would like to move my cable modem over to my residential service that I am paying for.

Residential will not activate with the same cable modem MAC on business.

Can anyone at Comcast please help.... Just delete my MAC from business so I can activate my residential.

Thanks

Tony

Hello @tonyholland00, thanks for reaching out to us about this modem concern. We definitely want to assist you with this! To confirm, are you trying to add an owned (purchased) modem to your residential account?

I look forward to hearing back from you and further assisting you with this!

Yes I am trying to move an owned cable modem off Business Service which has been cancelled (paid up until Jan 8th 2021) over to my new residential service that I have been paying for since Dec 15th.

Comcast Business says they cannot delete my cable modem MAC address until Jan 8th when my official disconnect comes in to play.

I want to use the residential service now....I have been paying since dec 15th..

Understood. We would like to take a look at things on our end, that way we can see what we can do for you. Please click on my handle (Comcast_Morgan) and send a private message with your name, the business name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number. For the residential account, may we have your address in addition to your first and last name previously requested. Thank you so much. Talk soon.
