Other Charges

As of Jan 1, 2015, Comcast drastically increased their "Other Charges" and no one seems to care.

My recurring Univ. Connectivity Chg. went from 40 cents to $4.21 per month. More than a 10X increase!!  That's outrageous. Their costs have NOT increased by 10X. My Broadcasst TV fee went from 50 cents to $2.00. a 4X increase.  Regulartory Recovery Fees increaced from 12 cents to $2.73 another 20X increase.

The increase in these charges (which I'm told are NOT government mandated, but charged by Comcast to reduce their costs) has increased my bill by over $100 per year.  But  I'm receiving no additional services or benefits.

Yet, there's no easy place to complain or object. We just bend over and take it. At least they should supply some lubricant to ease the pain.

My "Univ. Connectivity Chg. - Recurring"  jumped from 40 cents per month to $4.21 per month. More than a 10X increase!! That's outrageous. Comcast may have had cost increases, but NOT increases by 10X.

Regulartory Recovery Fees increaced from 12 cents to $2.73 That's a 20X increase. The increase in these charges (which Ir read are NOT government mandated, but charged by Comcast to reduce their costs related to government costs - meaning that they are directly passing THEIR taxes on to their customers)

Overnight, these fees increased my bill by over $100 per year. But I'm receiving no additional services or benefits. Yet, there's no easy place to complain or object. We just bend over and take it. At least they should supply some lubricant to ease the pain.

Yes, the continual fee increases have become apparent. I've posted about it on this board before.

I'll just say, that i'm REALLY glad Google FIber has chosen my town as one of their next buildouts. ~$75 a month for symmetrical uncapped gigabit.
