New Remittance Address / W9
I am trying to find out if I could have someone fill out a W9 with the new remittance address we were just given. Or if I can be directed to the right person/department. As we are a government entity we have to register all addresses with the Department of Financial Administration before we can send payments. The remittance address on our invoice is PO Box 60533, City of Industry CA, 91716-0533. We have a substitute W9 form where the remittance address can be added. Our account number is 8497 95 036 0424237. I have called customer service several times and was told I could only receive the standard W9 that is issued in January. I already have a copy of that.

Thank you for reaching out to us about a W-9 form for your business billing submissions. At this time we only are able to provide the standard W-9 showing our mail address as reflected in the W-9 issued in January. We do not have the ability to generate a new W-9 showing a different address.

Currently, that is the only form available.

Is there anyone who is authorized to fill out the substitute W9 I can provide to them?

Hi, I had this same issue. Yesterday I called for an updated copy of the W-9 and explained that it had to match the new remittance address on the most recently populated invoice (PO Box 60533/City of Industry, CA 91716-0533) but the W-9 they sent had another address.
It's frustrating, but FWIW when I create a new vendor in my organization's internal invoicing/vendor database, I can add this W-9 but fill in a different address. Even though it doesn't match, the checks will automatically go to the remittance address, not the W-9 address.
Too bad Comcast can't modify the W-9 like any other vendor who updates addresses. Hopefully this will be resolved soon because if other organizations are stricter about this than mine is, then Comcast's invoices cannot be submitted for payment, or if they are then they'll be mailed to a different address which can cause a lot of trouble for the customer and for Comcast.
