How can I reopen a closed ticket?

The technician closed the ticket because they didn't have access to the building IDF. I believe they should have escalated it, and I don't want to sit through the automated phone support again.

Hello there user_89489c thank you so much for taking the time to reach out here via our Xfinity Forums! Can you provide a little more context for the main issue that going on? Were we trying to rewire to improve services, and are you in an apartment complex/townhouse area where access to the network equipment is restricted?

This is in a government building. The phone service isn't working, so a technician was called. I now have a contact at the building who can escort a technician to the IDF.

That's great to hear! When working in Government or other large business locations, we do want to work with the facilities manager to gain access to the locations needed for repairs. Your Comcast Business support contact should be able to reschedule, but we are here to help as needed.

How do I determine my support contact?

Your business contact is normally assigned to the building and goes through designated individuals. We'd love to take a look over the account if possible and help get that visit re-scheduled.

Please send us a direct message with your full name, business name, full address, and phone number by clicking the  "direct messaging" icon in the upper right page of our forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle (Comcast Business) to send us a private message. Click "Sign In", if necessary
Click the "Direct Message " icon in the top right corner Click the
"New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The  "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person"
Instead, type "Comcast Business" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select
"Comcast Business" from that list

A Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
