First Bill From Comcast - Billing Date 10/8 and Due Date 11/2

Hi.  My first bill was due on 11/2 and I went to pay it on 10/29 which is before the due date.  The system said I was past due and a new bill generated on 10/28.  My first bill was generated on 10/8 with a due date of 11/2.  It hasn't even been 30 days yet.  I thought you had to be at least 30 days late before you are considered past due?  I paid this bill within 21 days and before the due date that was printed on the bill.  I talked with a person that was really nice and he reversed the late fee of $9.50 (which I should have never been charged since the due date was 11/2) but this experience did not set well with me.  I take pride in paying my bills on time.  I fired AT&T to go to Comcast because of their billing issues and now I have billing issues with Comcast.  When I looked up my account, I see a section called "Past Due Bills" and this bill shows up there even though I was not late.  I want this corrected from my account.  Hope this is not a sign for future billing.  I use Comcast for my personal services and never have had an issue like this with billing.  I am also under a 2 year contract and I feel that this is not a good way to start out with a new client.  I see others have had this type of issue and there appears to be an issue with Comcast's billing system.  I would like for someone at Comcast to contact me and correct this error.

One week has gone by and no one from Comcast has contacted me.  I was hoping to have better customer service than this.
