Early termination

I have seen some similar posts to my issue.  My business has gone under, we ran out of money essentially and couldn't afford to continue.  Comcast are the only company that we have dealt with that have not been at all helpful in allowing us to close down our contract in an honorable and fair fashion.  Comcast are saying they will charge us $2,400 early termination fee.  I simply do not have that money and cannot afford to pay it.  We have avoided bankruptcy by negotiating with all suppliers and coming to an agreement.  Comcast basically are saying our only option is to pay the full amount, nothing else is acceptable to them, there's no discussion to be had.  I just hoped to hear from somebody at Comcast if that is absolutely the last word on the matter.  I just want to do the right thing, but am not in a position to pay $2,400. Thanks.

We are having so much problem with Comcast not very helpful and ignoring to our issue. This is on going thing!!

First of all, often within 2 years period, the ineternet was very slow and sometimes with no internet at all sometimes. We called for the service to get it fixed, but it didn't get better meaning it happened over and over again. Without the internet service, and even with slow internet, we couldn't perform out work.

After ongoing issue, we finally got fed up and wanted to terminate the service and they are asking to pay over $1700.00 in penalty. When we question about the penalty, the representative who was not very helpful said that we have 3 years of contract. This is insane due to the fact that we only contracted 2 years of lease with this office space we are in. There is no way we made the 3 years contract with Comcas!! The sales person never explain about early termination, we never received the copy of the contract.

We are almost to the end of our office lease and will not stay in buisness. I need the justification of this matter!! Please consider of the business consumer. With this Coronovirus going on it's really hurting our business.

God Bless You..Your post makes me sad. I hope that your spirit is still strong and you are still able to count your blessings. Surely Comcast will man up and DO THE RIGHT THING. Please keep us posted on Comcast's decision to help you are not. I do not want to continue to do business with them if they do not have the common decency to show their customers some compasion during these trying times. I have done business with them for 10 plus years and they are threatening to interupt my services at my company because I am late mailing them a $550 payment this month. It went out last Friday and takes them a week to post a check. Unbelievable Comcast.

Currently in the same situation. I've been waiting for a call back from a supervisor for several days. When I signed up with Comcast, I was told that I would not be penalized if the reason for early termination was due to going out of business. Upon my small thrift store recently closing, and expecting Comcast to honor their word, I have been told that I must pay them $1,300 if I disconnect. I am HOPING that, when a supervisor finally calls, they will do the right thing!
