Comcast business practices are highway ROBBERY!

When I started this service, with 100/mb-bit internet and business phone, I was NOT told about any contract. The agent on the phone just told me that I could get a discount by combining services and basicly get the phone for 20 a month. So I went forward with it.

About a year into the contract I no longer need the 100/mb service so I downgraded the service 16/mb. As I purchased a dedidcated remote server with a more powerful connection.

Then a few weeks later I got a new job 250 miles away from my current location. So I call into cancel and come to find out i've been placed in a 24 month contract! Not only that when I downgraded my service to the slower internet I was told I no longer qualified for a promotion because I downgraded speed but i was still resposible for a contract. Comcast wouldn't even start a new contract at the new location with a promotion at the lower speed. Comcast expects me to pay FULL price for everything AND stay in a contract. That is complete BS.

Comcast wants to charge me 1,200 for an early termination fee AND requires a 60 day notice!!!!! I've never been so angry at a company in my entire life and I will do everything to make sure NO ONE uses comcast.

My story is fun as well.  I paid through my full 36 month contract and they are still trying to get me to pay them an additional $599.10 for termination... and 2 months of extra service for their 60 day notice crap.

I have gone out of my way to spread the word of their wonderful practices and plan on continuing to share the word of how shady they are and how terrible their customer "support" actually is.

On a side note, did you ever get anywhere with support and your disconnect or did you have to ride it out?
