Close business account without ETF and transfer to residential

Hello! I closed my business due to financial difficulties and am tied to a 3 year contract with Comcast Business for Internet and Phone valued at over $3000 in ETF. I'd like to discuss my options to cancel my business account yet add services to my residential account in exchange (TV and Mobile phone for 4 lines). I'm happy to maintain the length of my contract on the residential account. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Hey there stacyf! Appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your business and your request to convert it to a residential account. We appreciate you willing to keep service during this tough time!

Please send me a private message with your full name, address, and account related phone number and we'll take a look at options.

Hi,

My wife and I are in the same boat, but I was told by three different service reps that this was not allowed due to a policy change.

in 2017 we opened a business and in September - October of 2018 we were forced to close the business due to lack of money/income. Called comcast and they told us we had to keep the service or pay the ETF of $2000+. The other option was to move it to our home and in 6 months switch it over to residental. We bought a house and want to convert from business to residental, but we were told that this was no longer something that could be done. We were told our only options were to pay the ETF of $675.00 or start a new 2 year agreement to move the service.

Can you please help? We would like to stay with comcast for our home, internet, tv, and home security.
