Billing Mistakes By Comcast
Today I was contacted to say my account payments were overdue and I needed to pay an amount to avoid service outage.
This concerned me as my account is set up for autopay.
After paying the bill and receiving a payment confirmation I was transfered to an "account specialist" who told me that my card provider denied a charge on August 2nd. This didn't sit well with me as the card is fine, and the charge I made to get the account back into good standing was made on the same card with no issues. The "account specialist" refused to give me any more details as to why the charge was denied.
I contacted the card provider who stated that NO CHARGE attempt was made by comcast.
Does Comcast autopay work correctly? It seems that you have difficulties making automated payments, which suggests I should not use that service.
I've already stopped paperless billing, as clearly I can't trust your system to charge payments. Should i stop auto pay and set up something with my bank to ensure your wonderful billing system actually gets paid?

Hi SkyB2000. I apologize for the iissues you'rv encountered with the autopay process. The autopay feature does work and is currently being used by other Comcast Business Customers. Please sign into your Business account and verify that all info is correct.
"Also It can take up to 45 days for your first automatic payment to be applied to your account. We recommend that you continue making your regular payments until you receive a billing statement that shows you're enrolled in Auto Pay."
Thank You

I had the exact same issue - set up auto pay MONTHS ago and got a nasty gram today that my service was past due. I set up autopay when I first set up my account and it has NEVER worked.

Hi Juliet9386. I apologize for the issue here. Please sign into your Business account, enable autopay and verify that all info is correct. Here is a link to additional info on how to set up autopay for your account.

I am encountering this exact same issue, and it is so infuriating. I already spent hours on the phone with Comcast a couple months ago saying that YES, I did set up ecobill (months ago... = past 45 days ago) but for some reason it decided to stop sending me notifications and it also stopped automatically deducting the billed amount from my bank account. All of my bank information is 100% correct and double-checked and verified 100000 times. I talked with customer support who had me set up ecobilling all over again (please note that this was back in maybe October, so again.. more than 45 days ago for sure) and the only thing I see in my email account is a notification in December that my bill would be due in January on the 20th, and that I was already set up for eco billing. Of course I assumed this meant it would auto deduct from my account AS I HAD SET UP EONS AGO, but apparently no it did not, and I suddenly received a past-due notice in my email and I've been slapped with a $9.50 charge and 2 bills that haven't been deducted from my bank account as they should've been. This is absolutely ridiculous and I refuse to sit on the phone again with customer service bounced around from department to department for hours again. Is there ANY way to actually make eco billing ACTUALLY work??

Comcast is the worst company on the planet: We signed up 4 month ago and every month our bill increases from $156 - $213 in just 4 months and only God know what we'll be paying in a year. When you call in, They blame it on some bull crap ROW taxes, line charge increase and so on. EVERY ONE READING THIS. MOVE TO ANOTHER CARRIER BEFORE you wind up like us. We'll be moving back to ATT. Screw you comcast and it mangement. No wonder America is cutting the cord on cable and we hope you cut the cord on comcast before its too late.
