A rep told me today to fax a death certificate in regards to an
early termination fee being waived. The owner has a very serious illness, closed the business, moved back home in another state to be cared for by his parents. I offered to send them the diagnosis from the doctor but he told me that all the could do is give me a toll free fax number to send his death certificate if he doesn't survive the illness. With receipt of his passing at that point Comcast would then waive the fee.
Obviously I was absoultely stunned that a CSR would be so callous. I asked him twice, "Are you sure & certain at what you are asking & telling me what to do" in regards to faxing the death certificate. We all hear people complaining about a business doing this or that that we get upset with. But what I heard today was as COLD as you can get.
