Trouble Connecting Replacement Computer
I am trying to replace an older machine running Windows 7 with a brand new machine running Windows 10, V 1909. I unplugged the Cat 5 cable from the old machine and plugged it into the new machine, and it connects to an unamed network the will only allow me to go to Google related sites. The old machine automatically connected to Network 6. The Cat 5 cable is connected to an unmanaged network switch, which is connected directly to the modem. Only the machine has changed and support can only tell me the modem is working properly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am very sorry to hear that you are having an issue connecting the new computer to the network. Have you attempted to bypass the switch and connect directly to the modem to see if the issue persists?

I did, but it still won't connect correctly. The cable connects with no problem to the Win 7 machine but will not set up correctly on the Win 10 machine.

Hmm, let's check a few other things:
Are you able to connect to a secure site, ie: a banking website?
What other networks show as options, if any?
Is the time/time zone/date correct? Sounds silly, but I had trouble connecting with my new computer because the year was set to 2036 and nothing would work until I fixed it.
