SMTP Port 25 blocked?

Is there a status message somewhere noting if TCP port 25 was blocked on my line?

I had recently changed fiewalls & my ports are setup to allow 25 but I get a timeout. All other ports to the same server (web, ftp) are working fine. I can "telnet [hostname] 25" to my server inside my network, but cannot from outside.

Port 25 shouldn't be blocked, but it's possible that it is. You can try calling the Comcast Customer Security Assurance center to have them check though 888-565-4329. Alternatively, you can try switching to 587 which is a secured port.
