Slow Internet Speeds

exact same issue here for the last 2 months.  Paying for 50 on most days the service is ok 40-45 from like midnight to around noon or 1pm then it drops to the teens usually 15-19 then slowly goes down and down till I get the garbage you posted less then 1.  Its gotten so bad that at times Ive had to use an att hotspot and its garbage all the time on weekends

 

Called customer service of course they claim nothing is wrong on their end. They schedule an appt and say it will be $99 is they dont find anything wrong.  Tech checks levels they look alright runs speedtests connected to modem and they are garbage.  

 

He tells me that they have a ton of people in the area with the eaxct same problem almost like QOS is on or they are shaping trafffic.  Seems to only effect people who have been moved to some new system I think he said it was GGS but dont quote me on that.  They have no idea how to fix it and he allegedly opened a ticket with someone.  That was 3 weeks ago Ive heard nothing.  I called today to try to at least gt a credit for the poor service and find out what was going on.  No credit and they have no record of the tech even coming here so I guess I imagined it.

 

I should note upload is never a problem always 10 

 

If you look on twitter and other message boards there are tons of people complaining about the exact same thing.

Hi minorthr.  I apologize the problems you've encountered in your attempts to resolve this issue.  Currently there is a service call scheduled to determine the exact cause of the issue and resolve any related issues on the Comcast network. Please let me know if the currently scheduled call does not resolve your issue.

We are new to comcast Business. From Day one we had issues with internet speeds. every few days we have to unplug modem and plug it back in to reset  the internet speeds. We have tried to talk to support over the phone, but the run arounds are crazy. AND i do not want to get into the HOLD time till someone answers or even knows anything, I wish we NEVER decided to make that call to comcast business for new service.  problem is still on going!!

Hi Quality.  While fluctuating speeds can be caused by any element in the network, the need for regular resets of the gateway in order to maintain service indicates a possible issue with the gateway.  We can assist with scheduling a service call to replace the device.
