Second Installation Details
Hello,
My Institution ( Higher Ed ) recently requested an additional connection for a new computer lab. I ( the lab manager ) was on leave when the connection was installed, and when I returned, I found a coax drop in the new lab, but no IP gateway. I suspect that the new connection is not discrete, but is instead sharing a connection with one of our existing labs. The new connection seems to work without issue when I use the IP gateway from the other lab, but the "old" lab is in use this semester, and will continue to be used in the future. I presume that a site visit will be required to determine what exactly is going on. How should I procede?
Thanks!

I think that I'm stuck in private message limbo... after I was haded off to Claude, I replied to him, but I haven't heard anything back.

Hi, Jeff. I am sorry for the delayed response. Just to clarify, the old lab used to have an internet connection. Does this sound correct?

No problem! The old lab is still in use, and has an active connection. The suspicion is that the old lab and the new lab share an endpoint. They need to be terminated separately.
