Random modem/router disconnects (updating?)

Every so often my CBR-T2 ( I think is what it is ) will disconnect during random parts of the day, as if it is performing an update of some kind. I did some digging and found out that you can basically tell the device when to do these types of disconnects and I set it to between 12am-4am anytime it needs to do so. Unfortunately mine likes to do it during the busiest parts of the day, sometimes 1pm, 4pm, 5pm and one time that I can remember, it did these "updates" THREE times in the SAME day! 10am, 2pm and 5pm. 

I'm at my wits end with this device, is there any fix for this? I already tried setting it to do these at specific time window to no avail, maybe going with an aftermarket unit? Can anyone help with this? I live stream for work on Twitch and YouTube and when this happens, it will completely disconnect the stream for 3-5 minutes, this is unacceptable!
