PC's reporting no internet connection

All of our PC's are reporting no internet connection but can still surf the web. None of these PC's are able to contact the Windows Update Server. No problems have been found with the internal network. How can I have my service checked for issues?

Hi there, @user_583ac0! Sorry to hear about the trouble!

You mentioned you're able to surf the internet; do you happen to know if the PCs affected are connected to your private network? We also have a Status Center where you can check to make sure there's not an interruption in the area.

If the PCs are unable to connect to the private network, and/or the Status Center does not show an interruption that may be causing this, please use the following instructions to send us a direct message, and we'll be glad to look into this further:

Credit to Residential Forum user @BruceW for this excellent explanation that has been modified for our Business Forums: "To send a "Direct Messaging" message to "Comcast Business":

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon:

  • or https://forums.businesshelp.comcast.com/direct-messaging
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there
  • - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list
  • - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it"
