No service 18 days now

I live in Port Charlotte and work from home which is why I have business service.  Everyone I know in surrounding areas with residential service has comcast internet, phone and TV.  All I need is internet service to be able to work.  I actually saw one comcast truck in Ft. Myers first one I have seen since the storm.  Your emergency response plan needs some work.

On the website the information said my internet would be fixed on 10/10.  I told my employer that date. Now it says it will be fixed on 10/13 as I am typing this it is 10/16.  I then provided my employer with the 10/13 date.  I investigate more and on the service map it says, "We are working on it".  Other areas around me say 11/1 and 11/11.  I really cannot tell my employer well they "are working on it".  I don't think your canned answer will work for them either.  I have worked from home for the same company for 16 years.  They have been wonderful through all of this.  However, I know they have a business to run and customers to take care of too.  When they hire people, they expect them to be at work.  A perfectly reasonable expectation.  Would Comcast expect their employees to be out for several weeks?  The answer is NO.

Unless I get service soon, I will be commuting to work from other people's homes with my disabled adult child.  Who does not deal with a change in surroundings or without her accommodations that are in my house to reduce her pain

So bottom line, any idea if I might get service again and a date that is reasonable for that to happen?
