Modem Randomly Restarts

My Netgear CG3000DCR modem has been randomly resetting itself for the past 3 weeks.  When I called support about it, they said that everything was fine on their end and someone was "probably" fixing the line somewhere.  I doubt someone has been fixing the lines outside every 30mintues.

Today I'm even experiencing packet loss.

Any help would be appreciated as this is getting really annoying!

Mind posting your signal levels from the netgear's config pages located at http://10.1.10.1

As well, check out this thread with many reports of issues with this gateway:

Here are my signal levels

Meanwhile I will be reading the thread.

Also may I add that when I call comcast, it is always busy and says that nobody is available

Your signal levels look fine. So it's odd you are seeing issues. To be on the safe side have you done a full factory reset on the modem to download the latest firmware?

Also can you describe the reboots. Is the modem itself physically rebooting or is the connection just being lost for a few seconds?

Glad the tech was able to get you going. If you see any other issues let us know and we can try to help.

Finally got ahold of a tech and he came over today.  Apparently the line outside was going down a pipe and it had some black liquid over it.  He has replaced the line and I'm hoping everything is working now.

The modem was physically rebooting to describe it.
