Internet Speed
I signed up for Deluxe 75 that is speeds of 75MPS download and 15MPS upload. I am only getting a download speed of 53MPS. This is not what we are paying for. Upload speed is fine. Needs this corrected and can you look into this ASAP.

Hi,
Upon testing your speeds are you directly plugged into the modem? If not, I'd recommend doing so to rule out any possible issues with the router. I'd also recommend using the Comcast speed test site http://speedtest.comcast.net/ or using the Comcast speed test servers on speedtest.net.
If you are still seeing slow speeds. Headover to http://192.168.100.1 or http://10.0.0.1 or http://10.1.10.1/ and grab your signal levels. These are generally located on the cable modem or WAN status page. If your issue is intermittent try grabbing them when the issue is ocurring and when it's not.
Also, do you know what modem you have and are you able to provide us information your setup? Any splitters on the path or additional equipment in-line?

The only time I get what I signed up for is when I directly connect to the wifi router and run the comcast speed test. I am getting very annoyed that I signed a two year contract for speeds I am not getting. I also ran a sample test when I was home with my FIOS account and ran a third party test and Comcast test and came up with speeds I am paying for from another internet company. cisco model DPC3939B router. No splitters that I am aware of when comcast wired and hooked it up.

Alright, so when you are plugged into the Comcast gateway you get the advertised speeds from their speed test site? What about other speed test sites or any standard HTTP/FTP download?
