Internet outage, Chicago, IL

Hi,

 

Our business class internet has been down since around 8pm, and when I logged into our account here, there was a flasher saying there was a known outage that would hopefully be restored by midnight. The flasher is gone and our internet icon's status is now green on the dashboard here, but we're still completely without connectivity. What is the status of this outage, and why does this forum seem to be the only way to communicate with support outside of Twitter?

I'd recommend doing a reboot of your modem and if possible doing a full reset. I'd also recommend calling Comcast to be sure that they can see the modem online on their end. If at all possible also bypass any router/switch..etc inbetween you and the modem.
