Internet Burbs

In the old days of Dialup we had such a thing as internet burbs. This is where one would lose their internet service for about 3-10 seconds. Which was just enough of time to lose the connection all together.

RecentlyI came accross the above situation several times over the last three -four days. I would just take this in stride and conside it part of the internet doing its thing. However, when working on a website those burps are not any fund.

What can be done to halt these internet burps?  Is the coax getting old and needs to be replaced? All connnections are tight and have been ever since the tech did the install/
