How about some plain language outage updates

The following is an excerpt of the response to several posts concerning outages,

"We do apologize to you and to all our value customers to this outage event.

Our network engineers immediately escalated the situation and resolution involved cross-disciplined network elements in conjunction with all our platform partners."

It is a wonderfully written sentence that tells us exactly nothing.  How about you have someone post actual information that a lay person can understand.  I know for me, I would be less frustrated if Comcast told me a pole was down or a relay switch failed or something like that.

All I know is that the estimated time for the fix keeps getting pushed later and later.

This is a lot of information. The core system integration of the comcast services for DNS/Application services and other elements of their offerings are managed between different vendors (Comcast being one of them) and the flow of resolving this level of outage works in this regard:

Identification

Communication

Coordination

Resolutions

Essentially they have stated, its a multi vendor effort with resolution.
