Desperate in Michigan, trying not to get fleeced.
I'm trying to get a Business Internet account here in Michigan. The Comcast cable stops about 2 driveways away from my address. This distance is just short of 1,000 feet. Comcast wants me to commit to a $700/month bill for multiple years or pay the facilities fee of $15,000 (or more). This seems really outrageous. I see other people paying much less money to run cable a much longer distance. Can anybody help with this situation?

I can look into the serviceability and see if there might be other options. Can you please send a private message with your name, the business name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), phone number and any ticket numbers you have?

Well, the frustration continues. Every house around me has Comcast service, including my next door neighboor. But somehow it's going to cost a small pile of gold to get access at my house. I have a copy of the initial survey and it's clearly wrong based on additional information I've managed to get out of Comcast. But they refuse to admit the survey makes no sense, even after looking on Google Maps and realizing the distances calculated in the survey are just purley made up.
