Constant Outages and Packet Loss

As of 8/24/2013, the last 2-3 weeks I'm experiencing constant Internet loss and television! Paying for a "Business Class" circuit, I'd expect MUCH better service! Whats going on? Speeds for upload are all over the map. Had a technician out and he found nothing. It might be time to go somewhere else. Particularly with pricing the way it is.

It is possible that when the tech came out, whatever problem you are having with your signal had cleared. I would recommend calling tech support and ask that they have T2 monitor the connection. When running your speed tests, be sure to use speedtest.comcast.net since that one is on the comcast network and will reduce variables in your tests and provide a more accurate data. Also, when testing your connection, be sure to remove all your networking equipment and connect one computer to the modem.

Tried to attch firewall logs with times of up/down state,. It restricts my ability to exceed 20,000 characters.
8:38AM - down again
10:37AM - up agin
10:48AM - up again

10:48AM - down again

10:49AM up again

We actually did exactly what you've recommended. One laptop directly connected to gateway, Comcast speed test. I see anything from 5mbps to 20 mpbs. Speed aside, this doesn't account for packet loss and outages. This morning I've counted at least 6 temporary outages. Same is true of high def televisions.
