Constant Interruptions in Connection
At my current office we have Comcast Business Class. For the past few months, we have been getting internet disruptions that last for a few minutes, then go away. It can happen a few times an hour. We recently had a tech come in who supposedly fixed the problem. It went away for a few days, then came back. It's really aggravating since we have web servers running, and having the connection constantly interrupted makes it impossible to have a reliable web presence. It also disrupts software downloads, and VoIP calls we may be participating in.
Our cable modem is a SMC8014, and we are using the following network equipment:
Cisco Catalyst 3560X
Cisco ASA-5505
Netgear WNDR4500

Based on the information that you provided, web servers and VoIP applications, this could be a bandwidth issue. I will look in to this issue and update you via private message shortly.

Saakbar welcome to the forum. We apologize for the disruption to you service, however at this time we are unable to test as there is a network issue in your area. I will monitor the situation and update you once the network issue has been resolved.

Is there a page where we can discover network outages and what areas are affected so that a lot of mucking around on the phone with people asking us to power cycle the modem isn't required?
It's really demeaning to have people tell me to power cycle the modem when I can't trace past Sacramento for a Bay area connection.
