Comcast WiFi and LAN have two different IP# ranges....

Hello,

My small business has Comcast internet with both ethernet and WiFi. I normally can kind of get around most of this on my own but seem to have hit a dead end on this one.

What is happening is my shop's Wifi and LAN (ethernet) have two completly differnt IP number ranges, which is not alowing my devices on WiFi to quickly and easliy connect and share with the devices and computers on the LAN or ethernet.

When I do an IP scan from the LAN and WiFi....

The WiFi IP numbers start with 172.16.100. and the LAN IP's start with 10.1.10. all of my devices see the internet with no troble at all.. but the devices on WiFi cant see my LAN devcies and the other way around obviously.

I've logged into my comcast modem / router to see what I can change, but was affreaid to make changes here that may not work or screw something else up.

All my equiment is from Comcast. The Wifi is some sort of extender device that comcast supplied and installed also,, I have no 3rd party or other dvices in the mix other then a simple ethernet 8-port hub. The comcast provided WiFi extender device they installed is plugged into an ethernet port on the comcast modem.

Thank you in advance, for any help if this can be corrected some how from within the Comcast settings or modem and etc.

Thanks for reaching out Mach-Lid and welcome to the forums! It sounds like the IP for the WiFi is in the private IP range, so I'd like to take a look at the equipment you have on the network. Can you please send over a list of the models and your name, the business name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number via a private message? You can send one by clicking on my handle (Comcast_Gina).
