Comcast providing only 26 MBPS on a 100 MBPS connection..Any potential solutions?
Only 26 MBPS instead of the purchased 100 MBPS business internet connection
To whomsoever it may concern:
We recent upgraded from a 75 MBPS line, which was dismal to say the least in terms of speed and reliability of the connection, to a 100 MBPS line which we assumed would provide for faster connectivity. But sadly the Xfinity speed test tool, which is enlisted on the router homepage provides very dissapointing results.
I request that someone who has faced similar issues with Comcast guide us through this issue. We have an extremely simple setup with the internet line being sent to a NetGear firewall after which it hits a 100 MBPS LAN switch connected to two wifi routers, to which a server and 15 clients are hooked up.

3. Connect a system by wire directly to the modem and retest. This eliminates almost everything local.
Now you can know show if the slow speed is a local phenomenon or is external. You need to know this before contacting Comcast. You might report the results here first, as well.
