Comcast business outage

I am fairly irate that I'm paying for Comcast Business service but was notified with less than 24 hours that "scheduled maintenance" would knock me offline for an entire day.  I'd like to be able to schedule things as well Comcast.  When I tried to get more information, the messaging is predictably mixed up.  Online I'm told that the network is being enhanced to be more powerful and faster.  I called an agent and was told that no, it's just regular repair.  Why can't Comcast consistently message the people paying extra for their monopoly?  If it was actual upgrades that would benefit me I'd understand better.

To clarify, when you spoke of checking online, are you visiting the Status Center, by chance? Or were you logged in to My Account for Comcast Business?

@Comcast_Sara​ both. I logged into My Account as well as the status center.  And then I made the mistake of calling customer service which only raised my blood pressure.

I appreciate the info, @DLG2209TVX! Both places online reflected the same information, though? And that was the message regarding network enhancements, correct?

Yes. But when I called customer support I was told that this was just regular maintenance and there would be no enhancements.  I guess I'd like to know if there are enhancements, what are they, how do they benefit me.

Additionally, I got a text that service is restored.  It was. For about 10 minutes.  I'm down again with no warning.

@DLG2209TVX - Just to confirm, what number did you call? It's actually fairly common to receive more than one notification while maintenance (whether planned or unplanned) is being performed. We do our best to let you know when the service should be up and running with no more expected interruptions, but sometimes you'll get a notice like that in the middle of our field team's work. I'm sorry for any confusion!

I received an email and a text an hour ago stating that work was complete in my area.  I restarted my modem twice as requested and I am still without access.  I don't know what I'm supposed to do here.
