Cannot connect to a database server on port 1433

We have an issue with several connected branches to a database server on port 1433.

The protocol is TDS or Tabular Data Streams. They have ICMP disabled but you can get a login

when attempting to ftp on 65.61.10.101. so I know the IP is reachable.

This is only an issue with our Comcast connected branches in Connecticut, Mass and New Hampshire. Vermont does not have this problem. I was on the phone with a tech at Comcast

and she couldn't find anything?

If you try to telnet to 65.61.10.101 1433 you also get a failure. It is only ftp that connects.

Any advice?

The cloud service that hosted the database server had blacklisted your 173.166 subnet which blocked basically all of New England. No answer as to why they did that but they have since removed it from the list. We can connect now. Thanks for the reply.
