AirPlay / Google Cast / SMART Mirror

We are setting up screen sharing (AirPlay / Google Cast / SMART Mirror) on a SMART Board connected to Comcast Business internet.
Can you confirm the following is allowed on the network:

  • Multicast / mDNS (UDP 5353) enabled
  • No client isolation on the Wi-Fi SSID used by staff/devices
  • Devices and SMART Board are on the same network/VLAN
  • Required ports (80, 443, 554, 3689, 7000–7100) are not blocked internally

Hello user_501920 thank you so much for taking the time to reach out with these questions here on our Comcast Business Forums!  These are great questions, and I'll address each of these concerns s you are setting up your Multi-Cast system: 

 

The ports listed(80, 443, 554, 3689, 7000–7100) are not on our list of current blocked ports. Comcast Business - Ports Blocked on Comcast's Network

 

Client Isolation and MultiCast are settings that can be adjusted through Comcast SecurityEdge and ConnectionPro

 

You should be able to connect each device to the same network/VLAN naturally, but let me know if this hasn't been your experience.
