Advanced settings
My office uses Five9 for IP phone calls. We are seeing lots of service outages when we are on our Comcast/Xfinity connection (we do not see issues on an AT&T connection).
After much work with Five9, they studied logs and sent me the following comments. I am not aware of all of these settings, and I did not see them when I logged into my Comcast/Xfinity router. Can someone look at this:
--------------------------------------
Here's the settings on the router that may contribute in the reconnecting state of our (Five9) application:
• Flexible classification (ALG aided)
• IP rate limiting (two-rate remarking/dropping)
• DSCP (re)marking
• Dynamic link fragmentation
• Turn Off = Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall
Thanks

Thank you for reaching out DanR and welcome to the forums! "Smart Packet Detection" is the only setting that may exist in the gateway (the last one on that list). I would be glad to check on that setting and also take a look at a few other things to see if there is anything else that might be causing the interruptions. If you'd like me to, please click on my handle (Comcast_Gina) and send a private message with your name, the business name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number.
